The following policies will be followed by all participating race tracks for the Fourth Annual Como Oil & Propane Modified Series presented by Lake Country Chevy Dealers. These policies were agreed upon at the meeting of all four tracks. The purpose of these policies are to promote eight consistent races during this series, so that drivers don’t feel that someone has or had an unfair advantage at one track versus another.

1) All races will follow the 2009 Wissota Modified rules.

2) Draw System – We will use the normal draw system that each track used in 2008.

3) Lineup After Caution – We will utilize the “Delaware” lineup after cautions in all the heats and the A Main. Whereas the first place car is in the front by themselves, and the second place car gets to choose inside or outside. The fourth place car must be inside, and the rest follow as normal. After the half way point of the race, cars will then lineup single file. In the Consolation races and the dash, cars will lineup single file after one lap is completed.

4) Pole Dash – Each of the eight races will consist of a Pole Dash. This will be a $200 to win sponsored dash. If there is 6 or more heats, each of the heat winners will compete in this dash to determine the starting grid. If there are 5 or less heats, the top two finishers from each heat will compete in the dash to determine the starting grid. All other A Main qualifiers will go straight up for positions.

5) Redraw – All cars that are not in the pole dash will start in their respective A and B Features in the order they finished their heat (straight up). For example if the first place car makes the pole dash and there are 6 heats. The second place car in heat one will start 7th in the A main and the second place car in heat two will start 8th.

6) Number of Cars that will Make the Feature – 24 cars will qualify for the feature. Each night one provisional will be selected. This provisional will be the driver with the most series points that does not make the feature. Each driver will only be able to obtain one provisional for the entire series. We will use last year’s final standings for the provisional of the first race. Driver can’t say no to a provisional and take it at a later date.

7) Number of Laps – Each of the Eight races will have the following laps:
a.Heats – 10 laps
b.Consolations – 12 laps
c.Pole Dash – 8 laps
d.A Main – 30 laps (Red Clay Classic will be 35 for the finale)

8) Spin Rule – Each of the eight races will follow the following spin rules:
a.Heats – 2 caution rule will be in effect
b.Consolations – 1 caution rule will be in effect
c.Pole Dash – 1 caution rule will be in effect
d.A Main – 2 caution rule will be in effect

9) Disqualifications – Any driver that is suspended by Wissota for any infraction the same penalty will be imposed by this series. Two examples:
a.If you are suspended from Wissota for a period of time that driver will not be allowed to race any of the series races during that period of time
b.If a driver is suspended and loses Wissota season points because of the infraction, they will lose all of their season series points to date also

10) Jumping the start – If a driver jumps an original 2 by 2 start of race, the caution will come out and they will be penalized ONE ROW from where they were scheduled to start. If a driver jumps a single file OR double file restart, the caution WILL NOT come out and that driver will be docked 2 spots per car jumped AT THE END OF THE RACE (not the next caution).

11) Point System – The series points will be calculated based on the normal Wissota point system. Each track will give the nightly totals to Joe Stariha after the race.

12) Series Stickers on Cars – All cars will be mandated to have a Como Oil & Propane Modified Series, and possibly two co-sponsor stickers on both sides of their car for all eight races.

13) Como Mod Series will have their own tech at all eight races to promote consistent teching.

14) Entry fee for Driver is $50 per event. This includes Pit Pass and Car Entry for Driver
